Bicycling is very popular in the Town due to its mostly low-trafficked roads, scenic beauty, and topography. Through a survey, residents have expressed a strong desire to maintain and improve the bike-ability of the Town. Hence, Ledgeview Bike Loops were created.
In May of 2018, with the help of WE BIKE, etc., LLC, the Ledgeview Loops Study revealed residents desire for bicycling opportunities in order to enjoy and explore the nature-scape Ledgeview has to offer.
Four loops were mapped based on engineering, education, and enforcement. All loops have appropriate signage and markers along their route.
Each loop varies on difficulty and challenge depending on fitness levels from the casual rider to the in-training rider, there’s a level for everyone. Try them out!
With the increase in development, Ledgeview has been afforded the opportunity to improve the Town’s Park and Recreation System, including bike and walking trails, in efforts to enjoy the outdoors. The Town is committed to developing more connectivity between neighborhoods and communities, as well as to provide resources to enjoy the spectacular views the ledge provides.
