American Transmission Company (ATC) owns and operates the high-voltage electric transmission system in most of Wisconsin. To make needed improvements, they are rebuilding the 69,000 volt transmission line that crosses through the Town of Ledgeview. Please see the map.
This means that ATC workers may be out on the right-of-way gathering information in order to prepare for the upgrade construction. Information such as vegetation management and/or related system maintenance actives will be conducted throughout 2021 and early 2022. ATC will contact property owners for permission if access to the property is required. It is anticipated that ATC will start construction early summer 2022.
